Silk Threads Designs is having their annual fall gala extravaganza this past October 27th at the new Park Plaza Tower! This year’s theme is all about “Art + Couture”, featuring designs based on the art of local artist Rahul Vyas. Ruby Bhandari, CEO and Chief Designer of Silk Threads promises this afternoon to be very special, filled with a unique interpretation of Indian classics, both in the art and couture form. We are so excited to announce our special guest is Indian-American actress Pooja Kumar!
Every year we find one night full of fashion and a way to give back. This year you can make a charitable contribution that will make a difference in the lives under-privileged children, through our charity partner, Helping Hands and the India Education Fund (IEF) of The Dallas Foundation.
IEF assists existing hostels, orphanages, schools and other institutions and organizations that are committed to educating those children who have limited to no access to a quality education because of extreme poverty, caste, religion, gender, or other factors. IEF works with these institutions and organizations and helps them acquire educational resources that directly contribute to, expand upon, and enhance their current education programs. Rahul Vyas’s art is part of several private collections, and he has kindly agreed to donate a painting for the auction, proceeds of which will go to IEF.
Rahul Vyas is an award winning American artist of Indian origin. Rahul was born in Indore, India on December the 10th 1967.
