FASHION EXPERIENCE
MEET RUBY

Meet Fashion Designer Ruby Bhandari. In her true follow-your-passion story, she started Silk Threads as a student at the University of Texas and turned it into an internationally-known design house located in Dallas.

When Ruby realized there was an underserved market for high-end designs in the growing South Asian-American community, she found her true calling. By opening her own manufacturing units in India, she was able to provide the level of service and quality workmanship that she and her clients had come to expect.

Ruby’s calling, however, was not simply creating garments. She obsessed over taking the timeless elements of Indian culture–the vibrant colors, opulent weaves, regal fabrics, graceful motifs, and exquisite styles of embroideries–and bringing them to a wider audience.
